5 YR OLD Golden Yunnan Pu-erh Tea leaves come from the Yunnan Dayeh tea bush, said to be related to the original tea bush of pre-glacial times. Pu-erh tea comes in green, oolong, black, white and brick tea and is valued for its medicinal properties. According to tradition, it removes toxins, cleanses the body and even reduces body fat. Pu-erh is perfect after a meal or to accompany dessert. In production the leaves are picked, rolled, withered and then steamed. Pu-erh is then stored and aged. Pu-erh should be brewed with water at boiling temperature and may be brewed for a long time.
